What are the maintenance requirements for Solenoid Valves in continuous operation environments?
For Solenoid Valves in a continuous operation environment, a periodic inspection plan should be developed to ensure that the solenoid valve can accurately and quickly complete the opening and closing actions in both the power-on and power-off states, and no jamming, delay, humming or other abnormal sounds should occur during the operation. Any abnormal response may indicate that the electromagnetic coil is aging, the internal components are worn, or foreign objects are stuck, and the relevant components need to be repaired or replaced in time.
When powered on for a long time, the electromagnetic coil of the Solenoid Valves may generate a high temperature. If the temperature rise exceeds the rated operating range, it will cause the insulation layer to age, the electromagnetic performance to degrade, and even the coil to burn out. Therefore, the coil temperature should be regularly monitored by infrared temperature measurement, thermocouples or other temperature control methods to ensure that it is within the safe range recommended by the manufacturer.
Under continuous operation, the working medium may carry impurities such as rust, scale, oil, and particles, which are easy to accumulate in the valve core, valve seat, armature and other parts, causing jamming, poor sealing or action failure. Therefore, it is recommended to set the regular disassembly and cleaning frequency according to the working conditions and the cleanliness of the medium, use soft brushes and compatible cleaning agents for non-destructive cleaning, and ensure that all movable parts are flexible and well sealed after reassembly.
The rubber seals, diaphragms and gaskets in the solenoid valve are exposed to high-frequency opening and closing, high temperature or chemical media for a long time, and are prone to aging, cracking, expansion or hardening, resulting in leakage or action failure. Therefore, the inspection of seals should be included in the regular maintenance content, and the sealing performance should be evaluated by visual inspection or micro-leakage detection. If necessary, they should be replaced in time to avoid small problems from evolving into systemic failures.
Pay special attention to the sealing performance of the solenoid valve under continuous working conditions. Internal leakage may cause unplanned flow of the medium, and external leakage may affect the safety of the equipment or even cause an accident. During the inspection, focus on observing the interface, valve body joints, threaded area and coil seal to see if there is medium leakage, water vapor condensation or abnormal odor. If necessary, use differential pressure test or leakage detection instrument to make accurate judgments, and choose to replace seals, tighten connections or replace valve bodies according to the source of the leakage.
Under high-frequency operation, the stability of the electrical system of the solenoid valve is crucial. It is necessary to regularly check whether the terminal is firm, whether there is rust, looseness, burning or insulation damage, ensure that the power supply voltage is fully matched with the rated voltage of the coil (such as AC220V, DC24V, etc.), and suppress power supply fluctuations, electromagnetic interference and transient voltage shocks through a voltage stabilizer or filter to avoid abnormal heating or failure of the coil.
The internal structure and sealing performance of the solenoid valve are sensitive to changes in system pressure and flow. Long-term overpressure operation will cause internal deformation, valve core jamming, or even valve body rupture; and insufficient pressure, especially for pilot solenoid valves, may cause opening and closing failure or slow response. The system pressure and flow should be monitored and recorded regularly to ensure that they are stable within the manufacturer's recommended range, while avoiding frequent and large fluctuations.
